Advance voting
You can vote in advance from 11 August to 5 September.
During this period, you can vote in any polling station anywhere in the country, regardless of which electoral register you are in. All you need to bring is valid identification.
It is not possible to regret your vote after it has been cast. If you vote in advance, you cannot vote again, not even on Election Day.

How to vote in advance
If you are voting in the municipality where you have been entered in the electoral register, do the following:
Select the ballot paper you want to use.
Fold the ballot paper with the party name facing in and the field where the stamp goes facing out – that way, nobody can see what you are voting for. Do not use an envelope or other cover around the ballot paper.
Go to an election official and get a stamp on the outside of your ballot paper. This is important – your ballot paper may be rejected if it does not have a stamp.
Drop your ballot paper into the ballot box.
You cannot make changes to the ballot paper, such as striking out names or changing the order of the candidates.
Voting in advance in a different municipality than where you have been entered in the electoral register?
You have been entered in the electoral register in the municipality where you were registered as a resident on 30 June 2025.
If you vote in advance in a different municipality, you will be using a ballot paper that only has the names of the registred political parties – there will not be any candidate names on the ballot paper. You must tick the box by, or manually write out, the name of the party or group you want to vote for.
When an election official has put a stamp on your ballot paper, you must put the ballot paper into a ballot paper envelope. This will then be put inside a cover envelope, which is put into the ballot box.
Your vote will then be forwarded to the municipality where you live for counting.
