Voting on election day

Election day is 13 September. In some municipalities you can also vote on 12 September. On these days you must vote in the municipality where you are registered as resident in the Population Register.

You must bring your ID with you when you arrive to vote. It is not sufficient to bring your polling card or to state your name and date of birth.

You can see the approved forms of ID here.

You do not need to bring your polling card, but if you do it will speed things up in the polling station.

Remember that if you have any questions in the polling station, you can ask an election official.
