Processing of list proposals

Before lists can be approved, county electoral committees must check that the lists have been completed correctly and that the necessary documentation is included and correct. They must also ensure that those named on the list have agreed to stand for election.

Parties and groups that want to stand in the parliamentary election for 2021 must have submitted their list proposal to the county authority responsible for the constituency in which they want to stand by 12:00 on 31 March.

The county electoral committees in the relevant constituencies must publish all submitted list proposals for public scrutiny. If you have any questions concerning the lists, you must contact the relevant county authority to which the constituency belongs.

Processing and approval of lists

Before lists can be approved, county electoral committees must check that the lists have been completed correctly and that the necessary documentation is included and correct in line with the Election Manual. They must also ensure that those named on the list have agreed to stand for election.

List proposals must be processed before 1 June. County electoral committees must then send their approved lists to the Norwegian Directorate of Elections. Once we have received approved lists from all of the constituencies, we publish them on valg.no.
